so the first game cleared on my 2025 bingo card is a hentai metroidvania. nice.
ultimately, I think this game is too boringly cishet and intended for a very plain male audience to have good porn, but problems run deeper with the way that the erotic aspects of the game tie into game mechanics.sex scenes are the motivating force to do quests, but they're also a failure state, with two distinct animations (depending on the gender you are when you die) that play out for each enemy type in the game. to this end, they also want to make it reasonable to expect that you'll see them, so the damage for minor enemies is mostly in the range where you'll perish after two or three hits, whereas bosses will frequently be less dangerous with easier patterns than some enemy arrangements!
when discussing actual mechanics, it's passable, but nothing to write home about; quests are either locked behind access to areas or being able to afford the cosplay for the right creature/job, and only one of the quests gives any money, so the unavoidable fact is that this game turns into a massive slog, where you spending more time grinding on monster girls for money than grinding on monster girls, y'know?
there's also practically no variety. the kinkiest this game gets is a single scene where a frog girl gives the male witch a blowjob while also toying with him with her tongue. the overwhelming majority of scenes in this game are painfully straight, where the only fetish being catered to is cosplay, in the broadest sense of it.
there are few enough lesbian sex scenes to count on one hand, and none of them arousing enough to keep the other hand busy anyway. there's no gay male scenes! there's no futa! there's nothing resembling anything gender non conforming except you, the flipwitch, and the fact that you can genderbend yourself on demand is the kinkiest thing about the main character instead of a good starting point for anything.
it's painfully mid as far as porn goes. it's tolerable as metroidvanias go. I can't exactly recommend it, but it has some funny jokes, and the music is pretty dang good. just don't expect too much from it otherwise.
