it turns out I had played this game before. 

where do I start with this game? probably at the beginning.

I guess I'm glad, in an oblique sense, that this game exists. I'm not glad I decided to play it.

  while plumbing the grungy depths of assorted hell dimensions, I was left wishing the game itself had some more depth instead.

I think this game would probably have more to offer someone else.

  so the first game cleared on my 2025 bingo card is a hentai metroidvania. nice.
